There is not as much emphasis on boozing and gambling as there is dining and socialising here. The Archer Hotel caters for those looking for a casual or fine-dining experience.
Guests at this North Adelaide establishment can take their meals alfresco, on the upstairs balcony overlooking O'Connell Street, or retire to the sophisticated dining room downstairs. The fare served in both eateries is modern Australian by definition.
Chef Robert Yates makes use of some distinctly Australian ingredients including bush tomatoes and paper bark; try the pavlova roll filled with wattleseed cream and passionfruit.
The Archer also provides guests with entertainment other than the gastronomically ranged types. As with all good hotels there are pool tables to challenge fellow dinners on and a beer garden. This is an enjoyable venue in which to while away some weekend hours.

On target for us....
Three of us got together in "The Library" for a long overdue catch up. Cold night outside - very comfortable inside. And - conversation was possible, even easy! Well presented and well cooked dishes. Leave space for the panna cotta, which we accompanied with gurgles of delight. A great night out
