With new head chef James Christensen taking the reins, this friendly pub bistro has managed to retain its former charms (and menu favourites) while shifting itself to more progressive fare.
The classics are all still well represented on this truncated menu, with a good old fashioned steak sanga or beer-battered fish and chips on hand for those so inclined. However, the menu also features some contemporary options, such as the confit duck salad with pear and hazelnut, showing that they're definitely broadening the horizons of traditional pub dining.
