Finding a Thai restaurant in Newtown is not quite like finding a needle in a haystack, but finding good Thai can sometimes be more challenging. Thai Riffic aims to live up to its name, serving traditional Thai favourites from pad see ew to masaman beef curry. Noodle lovers have plenty to choose from, as do vegetarians, who can happily feast on vegie and tofu variations on the stir-fries. A good curry puff never goes astray either.

Wonderful Experience
We visited Thai riffic on Sunday evening for a Mother's Day Meal. We arrived early (5.30pm) without any booking and the staff were very happy to oblige us with a great table. We were a party of 7 people aged from 3 to 73 and we all had a fabulous meal. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating, chatting happily with the kids whilst maintaining a very professional approach with the adults. We've been to many other Thai restaurants in Newtown (all the cheaper ones) and wanted to try Thai riffic as it is a tad more expensive due to the fact that it was a special occasion. We weren't disappointed as the food was excellent. The atmosphere was beautifully subdued and tastefully decorated with balloons and lovely flowers for Mother's Day. We had a lovely meal and would be very happy to return at any time!
