A shining beacon in Western Australia's wheat belt region, this farm restaurant and cafe is one of the finest outback dining experiences to be had in the area. Run by the Green family, its title alludes to the olive farm on which it sits, and the breathtaking bush, sheep paddock, olive grove, wheat and canola field views that envelope the restaurant/cafe.
Not far from the popular tourist hotspots of Hyden and Wave Rock, Terra Vista channels its Italian heritage by producing homemade traditional pastas that bristle with rustic charm, taking recipes that have been passed down through the generations. These include the chilli pollo aubergine rolls, which feature chicken and sweet chilli sauce on a bed of flat pasta coated in napoletana sauce, and veal parmigiana, vegetarian cannelloni, and lasagne. Bookings are essential for dinner, so it's a good idea to call the restaurant beforehand.
You can also take a piece of Terra Vista back home by checking out the various olive-based products made on site, from chilli and garlic olives to olive-oil soap and objects carved from olive wood. It's definitely one for the olive fans!
