From the outside Templebar is a little understated, but by the time you walk through its doors the pendulum swings well and truly to the other side. The fluorescent mix of lights and sparkling mirrors are accompanied by a prominent stage, lively staff and near-toppling plates of food. The rib eye fillet is a favourite among locals. It's served up with sauteed mushrooms, wilted spinach, caramelised onion and rosemary jus. Another hearty choice is the chicken breast with sage, prosciutto and camembert with a napoli sauce - and there are pizzas and burgers up for grabs as well. Pull up a chair at the bar or take a seat by one of their small tables to enjoy substantial eating to the fullest.
