Taylor Studios has long been an institution in the Swan Valley as the home of artist Jude Taylor and poet John Taylor. Their enterprising offspring have expanded the business, adding a cafe to the rustic, arty space, which is filled with Taylor's work, featuring Western Australian wildflowers and landscapes. You can take a piece home with you in the form of wallpaper, cards and bold linocut prints - but only after a rendezvous in the cafe!
The cafe menu, comprised of regional produce, is packed with soups, panini, salads and plenty of homemade desserts and cakes that make the mouth water. Perhaps while you're there you will be inspired to get in touch with your inner 'artiste', taking part in a wearable art workshop, or perhaps a life drawing class - complete with belly-dancer!
