Despite slightly slow service, the helpful but unobtrusive staff help to make a meal at Tasman's a relaxing experience. The food is fresh and simple, echoing the muted Tasmanian palate that is perfectly accentuated by the wine menu. The array of Tassie beverages does well to complete the restaurant's southern sea theme.

This is a comfortably dark and muted environment for a meal but unfortunately it is a bit overpriced. We were a table of 3 adults and 2 children and the food was of a mixed quality, ranging from fresh tasty mussels to overcooked steak (one of my ultimate food horrors). The service was pleasant.
