Rather than being a clone of other popular Asian restaurants in Melbourne, Tao's Restaurant does its own thing by fusing elements of Asian, Pacific and Western cuisines, garnering some intriguing results. Sitting where Bamboo Terrace once was, this large Bulleen restaurant is popular for group and family feasts, especially since it only offers set menus. As such, you'll have starters, entrees, soups, mains and desserts begging for your stomach's love and attention. Some highlights include Tao's-style prawns with tempura oysters, hot stone sizzling steak on bamboo leaves, and fresh fruit sago.

We have been regular with Tao's since it is opened. Its fine food and wide range of ingridients make up a very interesting manu. The chef cares about every bit he serves on the table, marinated lamb is to die for, teriyaki chicken is so tender, steak on stone grill is perfecctly cooked, tempura prawns is light and non greasy....... Wine list is comprehensive, decor is full of charisma, Everyone deserves such dining experience.
