Steaming vindaloo, tender tandoori and garlic-glazed naan are served in a candlelit a la carte setting scented with exotic herbs and spices flowing from the kitchen. Exotic, authentic and contemporary: that's the mantra of Tantra. Dwelling in Doncaster East, Tantra Indian Restaurant welcomes patrons with its luminescent traditional Indian designs around the doorway and entrance. Multi-coloured cushions and a long procession of neatly organised brown timber tables fill up a large warm space lit by candles and wall lamps, swallowed by the red sea of the bright carpet. Diners can enjoy value-for-money banquets that include meat, vegetarian, curry, seafood, bread, rice and dessert specialties, all attentively infused with uniquely Indian flavour and texture.

The best Indian Restaurant
The food was excellent. The staff and service are excellent. The whole experience was wonderful, an extremely enjoyable night. I'd recommend this restarant over any other Indian one for food and service

Just great
This place is the best. The food just makes my mouth water when I think about it, especially the more spicy stuff. Very affordable for the quality, and the service is always top notch.
Only downside is that it can get very busy on any night (especially weekends), so it's always best to make a reservation.

This is the best Indian restaurant in Australia
I love indian food and have eaten indian in malaysia (the best)singapore and thailand. This restaraunt is the closest I have ever come to having real authentic indian food. Me and my boyfriend continue to go back and Nitin one of the waiters has the best memory and outstanding customer service skills. I live in the city and still travel all the way out just for the curries at this place. Absolutely outstanding and I will definately be going back again and again. You will NOT be disappointed.
