Opening in November 2010, this addition to Brisbane's burgeoning North Quarter dining scene is the newest venture from co-owners Alastair McLeod and Genny Nielson of Bretts Wharf fame. Classic European and mod-Oz blend seamlessly with a good dose of Japanese to produce a menu from McLeod that includes miso-mustard-crusted wagyu with roasted shallots and white soy jus and a caramelised tomato tart with parmesan mousse and wild weed and wakame salad. For the indecisive, the Tank Table is a set menu showcasing the best of the menu. With its sophisticated, refined atmosphere and food to match, Tank is fast becoming a favourite with hip, young Brisbane urbanites.
