Oxford Street regulars will no doubt be familiar with this longstanding eatery, which has been feeding Darlo locals for well over a decade. A change in ownership and a flashy facelift, however, has seen Tandoori Palace emerge as a mere shadow of its former self. The dark carpet has been replaced with gleaming white tiles, while the old wooden counter has been turfed for a funky blue-lit bar, creating a sleek modern setting.
Tandoori Palace fits snugly into Oxford Street's vibrant scene, offering up Indian fare with a delightful difference. The varied menu boasts intriguing options such as orange masala duck, osso bucco madras and lamb apple korma. Each dish is chosen to give diners an innovate taste of India, unlike anything experienced at Sydney's other curry houses. Loyal locals who have dined here since the early days will be happy to know all their old favourites are still available on request.
Those looking for a few laughs with their curry should head downstairs where karaoke and a dance floor await. This spot is popular with hens' nights, corporate functions and birthday parties.

Great night out at tandoori palace
I love this place. Curryoke is such a good deal. I've been there twice, once with friends the other time with business associates. Both times we had a great night. Food was tasty (Indians not my favorite but I always enjoy it here), service is excellent and the owner Stephanie is a pleasure to deal with. The Entertainment is so much fun. One of the best deals in Sydney!!

Something Special
The revitalised Tandoori Palace is an excellent addition to Sydney. The food is delicious (5 star), the service is wonderful, the ambience is stylish and the choice of dancing music is fantastic. We were very impressed with themenu: we ordered the mixed tandoori platter for entree and orange masala duck, beef vindaloo, parmesan squid and allo gobi (vegetarian) for main. If it doesn't sound average that’s because it’s not! Delicious Indian food with a modern twist. Desserts look great (but we were too full) but they do great espressos and hot chocolate. Highly recommended. Our daughter also celebrated her 18th birthday at the banquet karaoke room. The hosts went out of their way to ensure a great night was had by all. A belly dancer got guests up and dancing, guests sang karaoke and danced and danced. We will definitely return to this restaurant and recommend the Banquet Room for any function as a great (and affordable) night out.
