Step outside Sydney's inner city and you'll find a plethora of enjoyably unique suburban establishments to rival some of their metro-bound counterparts.
The interior of Tandoori Garden is well decorated without being over the top, regional without being exclusive, comfortable without being too cosy. The strangely decorated ceiling provides good conversation material (looking for a first date venue?). According to staff, it is the legacy of the previous owners.
The vegetarian fans of Moorebank and surrounding areas should be chuffed with the wide variety of meals prepared and served sans meat. The cuisine on offer is not restricted to one particular region but spans north and south India. Here a spiced rack of lamb can sit comfortably beside more seafood-oriented dishes like the main of kadai prawns.
While Tandoori Garden may not exactly be the exotic foliage-filled eatery implied by the name, it does provide an impressive representation of cuisine from the various regions of India.

Evening meal
We have been several times to this cosy restaurant at Moorebank. The prices are reasonable and fair for these economic hard times. The flavours are truly delicious. The portions look small when they arrive at the table but they do fill you up. Saturday night can get very busy and the service is still quite okay considering how busy they are at that time. The only thing that I would like to see at this restaurant is a jug of iced water on each table as it adds a touch of courtesy to the customer.

Best butter chicken I've ever tasted
My husband and I and a group of our friends went to Tandoori Garden not long after it had opened. We found that the service was pretty poor, the girl who served us didn't even know which dish was which! It was pretty busy and very crowded, the atmosphere wasn't fantastic, but the food was absolutely delicious. The butter chicken was so divine, I described it to my husband as though it was like silk running down my throat, hot, creamy and very delicious. We discovered that they did takeaway, so now we order over the phone and pick it up 10 mins later, and eat it at home. One of our favourite in regards to food, but not for service.
