Japanese joint Taka's is an institution with students and cheap-eats lovers from all over Perth. After the success of the Shafto Lane restaurant, the Barrack Street and Fremantle branches came on the scene to cater for the growing numbers of Taka-hungry Perth and Freo residents. The atmosphere is not exactly fine-dining, but the food (and the prices) more than make up for it. Judging by the number of people crowding in here on any given day for lunch or dinner, it's no wonder it was voted the best Japanese in Perth.
