At this restaurant, which serves cuisine predominantly from East Thailand, there's sure to be a party in your mouth with dishes like Gang Dang Gai (red curry chicken with vegetables and fragrant kaffir lime leaves), Pad Kaprao Talae (stir-fried seafood with basil, chilli and garlic in oyster sauce) and one that needs little explanation, Pad Thai. Sit outside or watch the gastronomic party come to life in the open kitchen as the chef puts the five flavours (hot, sour, sweet, salty and bitter) of Thai cuisine to work.

Tahruah Thai Coffs Harbour best dining experience in a long time!!! well worth it...
i was delighted with Tahruah Thai, on a very busy night, service was great, staff very friendly, food was outstanding simply beautiful favours are amazing and i have eatin at many thai restaurants before but i must say this one tops them all... we had the satay sticks, spring rolls, Pad Nam pik pao with chicken (stir fry), Panang curry with chicken and the hommok and what a delight they all were... very different and unique favours!!! The prices are unbelievable for the size of the meals.... would 100% recommend you get on down and experience real thai flavours!!!! We will be back!!!

Dance 10, looks 3... But can it satisfy?? Yes x 10
As far as Sunday nights go, this one was busy. We managed to squeeze in. This as a BYO, mainly footpath dining, establishment in the apparent food strip of the Jetty area.
From the outset, the service, while eager and delightful, was disappointing. It appeared to be an unusually busy Sunday night, and an extra staff member was brought in. To have to ask for a cooler for the BYO white wine four times was a bit of an issue.
The saving grace for the night was the food. And how was it.
Unfortunately, the mussaman curry we ordered was not available when the time came to get the mains so a quick change to the menu was made. I tend to use mussaman curries, my staple favourite, as an indicator of the food.
We ordered entrees of fish cakes, spring rolls, and the curry puffs. They arrived in about 12 minutes, not bad for the busy restaurant. The spring rolls and curry puffs were "run of the mill", however the dipping sauce for the curry puffs was delightfully tangy and not too sweet. The stand out here was the fish cakes. They had a nice bite to them, (clearly not the criminally-poor frozen varieties served by some Thai establishments as home made), and the texture was delightful.
Mains: Yellow Chicken curry, Green Beef curry, Chicken stir-fry with basil, chilli, garlic and oyster sauce and finally a Chicken "stir-fry" with red curry, coconut cream/milk and pineapple.
All of the dishes were well seasoned with great flavour profiles.
The chicken stir-fry with the pineapple was the stand out dish. It was brilliantly put together, and while "wetter" than what I would expect a stir-fry to be, it tantalised the taste buds. I almost licked the plate clean. That everlasting surprise of the pineapple did wonders to the dish and kept me diving back for more.
All of the other dishes were a delight as well. The tendency to have the dishes too fatty/oily, with the addition of coconut milk/cream, was avoided. The fish sauce/salt levels were on the money, as were the delightful traces of sweet/sour and bitter.
After eating almost all of the generously portioned dishes, we were able to forgive the tardy service of the mains (some 70 minutes after the entrees were cleared).
While I live over 6 hours away, this restaurant will have me planning trips that overnight in Coffs Harbour.
This restaurant is able to deliver good value for money with a delightful range of well prepared, generously portioned dishes. Notes for the future: Order at least two fishcakes each, and go for the red curry and pineapple..
