Authentic modern Egyptian
Three frequent travellers to Egypt and lovers of all things Egyptian had a great night. We had the dips and stuffed vegetables to start, the chargrilled salmon and barramundi and the meatball tagine for mains, and the pastry with honey and cream and coffees for dessert. All delicious and beautifully presented. Just increased our longing to be back in Egypt. Pleasant efficient service, stylish decor too, with a chat with the creative chef/owner Ramy to finish. Going back in a week! Will also take my proposed Egypt tour group there to inspire them!

Very friendly, cosy, neigborhood style - food special
Try the chicken tagine! In the meantime I became a regular since I have been eating there with my partner on the first week they were open. Everybody I took there liked the place.

Excellent dining experience!
We were greeted with a genuine welcome and the attention to our table was perfect, despite it being busy. We had a friendly waitress and felt we got personal attention.

The atmosphere was great. Simple and chic, with a glass bar and water feature.

The FOOD!! So much to choose from. Delicious creamy hot pot of king prawns and the stuffed vegies for entres were great. The chicken tagine was so amazing with creamy harissa and dried fruit inside! Their traditional lamb shoulder - my goodness, what a beautiful dish. So tender (and my husband loves his lamb!) We loved it. Could only share dessert as the mains were so generous. The caramalised banana on the sticky date was a real treat with a nice cup of mocha. We'll be back!

Not too bad
This is a small and busy place. The tables were a bit small for the size of the dishes bought out and the seating next to walls leaves something to be desired.

It seems to be mainly a family-run place. The service was friendly but a little haphazard.

The food was nicely flavoured but there was not enough couscous or rice bought with the various dishes and some of the dishes were a little small.

The garlic prawns was an interesting dish which probably did not need the cream added to the sauce.

The dips and bread were good as were the various tagines we tried.

It was the firts time I have seen a domestic coffee machine used in a commercial environment like this. We did not try the coffee (the mint tea was good).

Overall a nice spot but a bit over-priced for what you get.
