The well-heeled locals who frequent this little eatery would be wholly justified in keeping it a secret. Owners Damien Brown and Hayley Rooke have transformed the once-shabby premises into a bright, modern cafe with an inviting alfresco area out front and a distinctly homely feel inside. Having worked as a chef in Sydney and London, Damien has brought his honest cooking to this tranquil corner of the CBD. Breakfast can be as light as croissants and coffee, as wholesome as homemade toasted muesli, or as hearty as their big brekkie. Lunch might be a warm salad of asparagus, lemon and thyme-roasted chicken, or an open steak sandwich with caramelised onions, spiced roast tomato, rocket, garlic mayo and French fries. Be sure to save room for a slice of homemade lemon cheesecake or a Valrhona chocolate tart.

Friends Wedding Awsome
A friend just had his wedding reception at T78 and it was excelent the food was top notch the twice cooked pork belly was devine we were in a private room and is was gorgeous modern but not somehow the staff were so accomadating the best service I have seen for sometime Looking forward to going back as a regular customer

Don't go if you
Service WAY too slow which was disappointing seeing as we pre-ordered to avoid the wait! The entrees were good. One or two of the pasta dishes however were too salty, someone said that it was like salt had accidentally fallen in. The tagliatelle must've run out as one or two of the group had fettucine instead and the pasta was stuck together. The steak sandwich was average but the desserts were a stand out. You couldn't fault them there. But if you're in a hurry or you're just hungry, go somewhere else. The service was average. One surly waitress but the other two were lovely.

Consistently excellent
I have eaten here several times and for all sorts of occasions such as a business lunch, an aniversary dinner and a night out with the girls and each time this place has impressed. The food is stunningly good and excellent value - I have been to other restaurants where I've paid twice as much for food that hasn't been half as good. The service here is spot on, friendly and helpful but without being overbearing. I love this restaurant and would recommend it to anyone.

Once again, outstanding
We popped in for a quick dinner before a show. Food was delicious! Service was polite and helpful. Atmosphere is great! I cannot believe anyone could eat here and not be impressed. Prices are very reasonable - I've been to much more expensive places and received average food and poor service. We love it and will go back again.

Disappointing
Went there with high expectations as we had heard great reviews from friends, however I found that the service is slow, orders not filled as requested and a long wait for drinks. When the food arrived it was average, nothing that I will be going back to.
