Right on the water at Sydney Cove, looking out to the Harbour Bridge, this seafood restaurant is obviously an ideal destination for tourists, while also being a great way for the locals to rediscover the famous harbour they call home. Sit back in this quintessentially Aussie location and indulge in such succulent, salty treats as the smoked salmon and aioli oysters; or the oysters lightly grilled with a garlic, chive and white wine butter sauce. Among the other seafood dishes on the menu are fresh local lobster and the ever-popular barramundi fillet.

Overpriced
Great atmosphere, with a location right on Circular Quay with Harbour Bridge views.
The staff were pretty knowledgeable about the menu, but unfortunately a tad inattentive. On a number of occasions we were left waiting for service and pouring our own drinks (the restaurant was only about 1/3 full - so hardly busy).
The food and beverages were overpriced - most likely to cover the expensive location rent. The meals were not as tasty as we were hoping (on the bland side).

A so-called fresh seafood platter for two at $75 might be acceptable at such a great venue if the food was up to scratch. Which it wasn't. If it were not for the fact that we ate the superb oysters first, the rest of it might have been sent back. We asked the waiter about the origin of the seafood, to be told it came fresh from the markets that morning. The single small sand crab, the single very small bug and the six medium size prawns all tasted prefrozen and had the consistency and flavour of tofu. The huge pile of uninteresting salad underneath was dressed in a horrid dressing.
