Supplying Harris Park and surrounding areas with traditional Middle Eastern sweets and treats for more than a decade, this friendly cafe is an institution unto itself.
Owner and baker Youssef El-Kadi gets up at 3am every morning to prepare the array of different products he offers. With such a multicultural clientele, El-Kadi offers pastries and cakes ranging from oil-cooked treats for those fasting and egg- and dairy-free cakes.
Not that dietary requirements are all he specialises in; a long-term love affair with classic French pastry cooking means that El-Kadi also does a mean black forest cake that goes perfectly with the strong coffee that is also served here.
