Dressed up in antique whites and ornate provincial-leaning decor replete with lanterns, ladders, bird cages and adorable handwritten labels, this highly anticipated venture went down the road of many a patisserie, opting for the oh-so-Frenchy makeover, though there's no denying the final result oozes charm and sophistication.
Their secret weapon, however, is their culinary force, headed by owner Alistair Wise, an ex-Gordon Ramsay employee and very highly regarded pastry chef. You'll see his deft touch in handcrafted candy in exotic jars, cupcakes beckoning behind translucent glass display cabinets, gooey puddings, flaky tarts, home-style pies, gourmet sausage rolls and much more. And while the name only alludes to sweeties, there's a great range of savoury tarts, pies and sandwiches as well.
