Sumo Glenelg not Recommeded!!
My husband took me out for my birthday as we have 3 kids under we don't get to go out for dinner as often as we used to. Anyway I love Japanese food and had previously been to Sumo Pulteney Street which was good. I assumed Sumo Glenelg would be of a simular standard. The staff at the restaurant were not welcoming at all, felt as if we were bothering them by coming to eat. A smile rarely found their lips. Service was terrible we ordered appertiser, entree and main course. The meals came out all over the place. I was eating alone most of the time because my husband either got his meal before or way after me. I got my main course about 30 mins after my husband finished eating his main!! The meals were of an average standard, my main meal of salt and pepper seafood was oily, bland and tasteless, the salad it came on was limp and shrivelled. When I went to pay the bill the waitress asked me if "everything was perfect", I gave her the feedback as I have mentioned above and stated that when I go out for dinner for two I don't expect to actually be eating alone! She didn't apologise and seemed to dismiss what I said. Really, Really disappointing!!
