Part 1930s bordello (upstairs), part Spanish cantina (downstairs), SumBar offers its clientele a sexy Melbourne-esque drinking and dining experience in the heart of racehorse-mad Randwick.
Taking cues from current food trends planted firmly in the Mediterranean cuisines of Spain and Italy, nibbles include jamon serrano, spicy chorizo, and Mediterranean vegetables. There's an extensive wine list offering some great varietals, from Sangiovese (both of Aussie and Italian origin) to pinot grigio and everything in between.

Dinner at Sum Bar
In the heat of the east and a great location, we were expecting something better, but the food and service was definitely wanting. Disappointing when the venue might have delivered on it's unique atmosphere, but it was truly ordinary and not inexpensive.
