Stones is located in an old 1850s barn in the middle of the lush Yarra Valley countryside and boasts the grandiose feel of a cathedral, or perhaps merely a temple to good food. The light-filled space is crisscrossed with sturdy beams and pillars, with the tables lined up on either side of the room, leaving a dramatic aisle-like empty space in between.
While the venue is ideal for weddings (there's a chapel on-site) and other events, the restaurant is a worthy destination for lunching on the carefully considered and meticulous food served up here. To sweeten the deal events are held throughout the year, anything from twilight movies to music concerts or cooking classes.
