Stone

While Stone is attached to the Saville Hotel, it does not present as your typical hotel restaurant. There are no velvet-upholstered chairs, no pompous staff and certainly no bland food. Instead the space is big, bright and modern, bustling with chirpy staff delivering tasty and diverse dishes. The meals are influenced by many far-flung cuisines, offering something for virtually all tastes, whether you're after an Asian noodle feast, pasta, seafood, a Mexican quesadilla or just a solid steak sandwich.

Stone
Very different from our last visit. The staff are very friendly and helpful, one of the dishes was amazing a duck breast in curry the other a little disappointing. Good location for the movies. Nice cocktails.

Someone got it wrong
We dined at Stone before going to the theatre on a Saturday night. Upon booking our table a few days earlier we were told that we could be squeezed in as the restaurant was fully booked and as we were going to the theatre we could order from either the "pre show" menu or the a la carte menu. Well when we entered the restaurant it was pretty much empty only 2 other couples in the room. We ordered some cocktails which finally arrived 30mins later. Once we finally ordered (3 of us order the 2 plates for $28 thinking it was a good deal and the other had a main) the food arrived in fairly good time and I must admit it was very tasty - the only problem being the portions were unbelievably small. I can accept that for $28 the portions wouldnt be the standard size but 2 slices of pork 3cm long hardly can be called a dish, more like an amuse bouche, even our companion that had a main was left hungry.
