An Ivanhoe classic, walking into this late-night pancake parlour is like stepping back in time to a cosier, friendlier era. There's an open fire and a warming menu (mostly pancake and crepe-based, of course, though there are some savoury options) so this place is at its best in the winter months, when a night out to dinner is often finished off over a coffee or hot chocolate and something warm and sweet, like a good old fashioned thin pancake with a simple topping like golden syrup and butter, lemon and sugar or almond and honey. The background music is as retro as the fit-out and the vibe is warm, friendly and unpretentious. Something of an institution, this is one not to be missed by the sweet-toothed among us.
