You'd think opening up a chocolate shop in Unley would be a risky move. After all, this is deep in Haigh's territory, where all but the most fickle of Eastern 'burbs residents are hardcore, loyal-to-the-end, lifelong customers. However, artisan chocolatier Steven ter Horst offers a slightly different experience, and therein lies the genius that has many locals flocking to this cafe.
One of a new batch of 'dessert bars' that have been popping up of late, the cafe offers not only exquisite chocolates for sale but also a gorgeous space to enjoy a menu with more substantial desserts and coffee. It's part cafe, part after-dinner spot, part most perfect date destination ever. The menu changes too frequently to detail any of the incredible offerings here, but suffice it to say you will not be disappointed with the many tarts and petits gateaux, nor with the hot chocolate, tea, coffee or the house-made sparkling ginger, orange and lemonade that'll quench a chocolate-induced thirst like no other.
