Station 8

This popular Teneriffe cafe has a lovely balcony to perch on while munching on brekkie, contemplating the papers and the day ahead. The coffee is great and if you miss breakfast, there's an all-day range of sandwiches, wraps and focaccias, including such varieties as the grilled eggplant, bocconcini and mushroom focaccia.

Okay, so admittedly I went to breakfast with nine other people - so we weren't just a small table. But waiting over half an hour for our coffees and then getting our breakfast cold (before our coffee) isn't okay.

The staff seemed to have no idea what was going on. They repeatedly came to our table with food and drinks that belonged to some other poor patron.

Busy busy
Finally a place that serves up fantastic coffee and the freshest hot brekky that doesn't break the bank. No wonder all the cyclists park their bikes along the breezy deck and pull up stumps. I visited on a busy Saturday morning and found it hard to decide what to have as all the gourmet goodies are on offer before you. Any of the egg combos will surely satisfy. The coffee is very good too.
