Riding the wave of recent bar openings in the eastern suburbs, this latest addition comes ready to champion the cause of Sydney's small bar scene. Attaining that indefinable status of having style without pretension, Stanley Street Station has already won half the battle. The decor is loosely based on the principles of psychogeography (feel free to ask for a definition with your Mr Dubord cocktail - named after the theory's founding father, of course), which keeps the ambience stylish yet fun. Head chef Greg Vankuyk continues the fun with his modern menu, featuring combinations such as grilled masala barramundi and an ol' skool table salad.
