Restaurant Information

St Edmonds

Set away from the thronging masses on Chapel Street, this Prahran diner is a laidback affair, complete with affable service and a no-fuss approach to tasty food and drinks.

St Edmonds is the latest pet project from serial hospo entrepreneur Adam Wilkinson, and as such has an enviable pedigree. Wilkinson is responsible for such gems as Woodstock Espresso in Armadale and the CBD's take on Tokyo's cafes, Small World. With these two under his belt, it's fair to say that Wilkinson knows his food and coffee. Now with St Edmonds he adds slinging suds to his impressive repertoire.

A triple-headed beer tap sits nonchalantly in the middle of the counter at St Edmonds, its still-new lustre the only giveaway that it hasn't been in the same spot for a decade. With it, Wilkinson manages the perfect accompaniment to his red braised pork neck and snowpea tendril sandwich: a tall, frosty Asahi.
