An old-school steakhouse to the core, Squires Loft blends its meaty menu with an even heartier interior. Decked with wooden panels and matching timber furniture, its walls are flanked with pictures of rugged outdoor terrains and dusty bottles of whiskey. In one corner, a small wine holder stands next to a shelf full of roughly cut logs, adding to its flagrantly rustic charm. The menu is unsurprisingly short and to the point, offering a range of chops, ribs, bones and fillets topped with a choice of seven sauces. Mains start at $16 with a 1kg serving of pork spare ribs tipping the budget at $42. Now that's a real Texan mouthful.

YUM YUM YUM!
I've been here at least half a dozen times - work lunches and birthday dinners & everything is always SO delicious. Every bite makes you say YUM. Which is a good thing in a restaurant right? I always love the baked mushroom entree with garlic & fetta. Mouthwateringly delicious. Not sure sure about the blue cheese sauce (too heavy/strong?) but love all the others. I will go back as often as I can.

Will not be going back
Service was poor and there were only 15 people in the place to 4 wait staff. Meals were average , Steak overcooked. And to top it all off $4.50 for a sauce on an already overpriced steak. Forget it.

Not been back since...
Having been there once before, I thought it was a pretty good steakhouse, but not so much the second time round. Service was slow; it wasn't that busy but 3 waiters seemed to be running around and not paying attention to any tables. There was a couple sitting next to us who commented that this place is usually pretty good! Hubby ordered a medium steak, however came out well-done on the outside and blue on the inside. My lamb came out overdone and tough. The baked potato was nice with the blue cheese sauce.

The meals I have had at Squires Loft have always been perfect and the service above expectation. A great place for a fantastic steak.

The steaks are good, service can vary from very good to very poor, while the layout of interior is a bit cramped.
