Spinnakers Cafe

At three hours' drive from Perth, a meal in a Busselton restaurant may not be spontaneous, but if you do happen to be in the area or you're staying at the Bayview Geographe Resort, it is well worth the effort. The daily buffet breakfast is large enough that most people would not tire of it before their stay in the resort was finished. The cafe-style weekend lunch is also perfect for families with young children; parents can enjoy a relaxing afternoon in the al fresco dining area within view of (but not too close to) the children's playground.

Most importantly, it's important to remember that the restaurant is situated within parkland gardens in the Margaret River wine region, giving visitors a great chance to sample some of the local offerings.

Undiscovered Gem!
We wandered down to Spinnakers from Abbey Beach Resort where we were staying as I'd seen a sign for $20 steak night and my hubby felt like a good steak. The restaurant was very quite, seem to be mostly resort guests - I don't know why because the food was amazing! The steak was perfectly cooked and the stuffed chicken I had was beautiful - a great recipe that I hadn't seen or had anywhere before. We returned another night and had the homemade gnocci and the carbonara which were both devine. This is a really relaxed friendly place that seems like just an average resort restaurant in looks, however the food says otherwise - definitely worth a trip for dinner if your in the area.
