If you can't quite afford the flight and tour across the continent, a night at Soni's may help assuage some of the pain. Start in Spain with patatas bravas, where crispy potato chunks are all dressed up with garlic, chilli and tomato salsa, then traipse over to Italy for funghi ripieni, where baked cup mushrooms come bursting with roast butternut pumpkin, pine nuts and goat's cheese. You could then mosey down to Cyprus for grilled haloumi with oregano and lemon, all without having to leave this exposed brick and red-walled haven on King Street. There's a suitably international wine and beer list, which comes with a handy hint for patrons: if you can no longer pronounce the German wheat beer "Schofferhofer Hefeweizen", you know it might be time to call the journey to an end and head on home.
