Another lovely night in Sirocco
I recently have read some bad reviews about Sirocco Burswood, but as I live nearby I often have dined there. I have travelled the world and dined in many international restaurants. Sirocco might not be a worldclass restaurant, but the staff have always welcomed me warmly and the food has always been great.
After my visit last week I definately stand by my point.
I took some of my friends in after I had not dined here in a couple of months. We shared a Chicken Pizza as an entree which was definately out of the ordinary with a hoi sin and oystersauce base and topped with a coriander pesto but tasted great!
I had the Pork chop for my main, which was served with cabbage and fennel with an star anise jus which was just superb. My friends also enjoyed the beef which was cooked to perfection and the Octopus salad which was devine!
A definate winner on the menu is a White Chocolate tart which we all had for desert, its been on the menu for a while but I will write my first angry review on Sirocco when they take that of the menu!
All in all we had a great night, the atmosphere was lovely, the service was great and the food was to die for!

Just a cafeteria
What a terrible restaurant.
This restaurant's atmosphere is non-existent, might as well be eating in a cafeteria. Service is poor. Table covering is just a sheet of plain white paper. Maybe they can't afford the laundry costs......Mmmmm!
Overall this place is not good, although the steak I had was reasonable, but overpriced. The side salad at $13.50 was disgusting and a rip off. Very small serve for what you are paying.
The really annoying thing about this restaurant during our visit was the menu. My dining partner and I were selecting off two different menus. Apparently they were changing from summer menu to a autumn menu and forgot to remove some of the older menus. Just not good enough.
It seems that all the restaurants at Burswood have dropped their standards and raised their prices.
Not good enough!

Service terrible
Was staying at Holiday Inn for 3 nights so had breakfast at Sirocco (okay) and dinner on Australia Day. Service was extremely slow to the extent that we (2 adults & 3 kids) got our meals after others had ordered and got theirs!! After waiting 45 min & asking 3 times our meals arrived as we were going to leave to walk to foreshore to see fireworks. Hence scoffed meals and then watched fireworks from room. Overall very average service but food when finally came was good but small serves.

Service issues
We went to dinner for a Christmas party here on Saturday night. Our table was quite big - 14 people - however the service was really bad. Although the waiters were nice, wait times were ridiculous. There was a mix up with the entrees which meant I didn't get one, as I waited about 40 minutes for them to make it then gave up. Then there were massive mix ups with the steaks as well. Drinks took about 30 minutes to get as well.

Not impressed
A group of 4 of us were there on a Saturday night to celebrate my birthday, it wasn't very busy at all but the service was extremely slow,(45 minutes). The menu consisted of approximately 5 mains to choose from and from that we chose 4. I chose the chicken which came to me as a piece of chicken with 2 pieces of broccoli. The salad was extemely boring and my husband and I were very disappointed with the small portions of the meals.

Disappointing
Unfortunately, the food at Sirroco was quite bland and lacking any flavour. The service and decor were very good.
