Inexpensive Thai...but...it's not Bangkok
First, the restaurant itself: super-crowded tables. The party next to us actually lept over his table to get to his seat; not "Tokyo Subway" crowded, but I make my point. Noise level: overwhelming, beyond any decibel range in my experience. Waitstaff: extremely attentive and pleasant (although slow to identify non-fried spring rolls). Food: inexpensive (really, cheap, mains start at $10). "Thai, Chinese, and Vietnamese cuisine?" Nah, not the Vietnamese I know and love; if you are looking for Pho, look elsewhere. And, finally, if you want your meal "Bangkok hot", asking for "FIVE chilis (on a scale of 1 to 3, as I did), you'll be sorely disappointed (I got 'one chili' heat for my extended efforts). A plus is, several trendy shops and stores adjacent; even some cars parked on the street were worthy of note.

A Frustrating Experience
Whilst the food was more than acceptable, there were several areas of concern. Firstly, we were seated at an unstable table; the size of which equated to a postage stamp.....secondly, one is accustomed to having water and glasses supplied on being seated, this did not occur. Further, no ice bucket was provided for our bottle of wine, but mainly we were amazed at the chicken satay, that was in one long strip on the skewer and very stringy in texture and within 3 minutes of starting our entree, our main meal arrived and obviously had to be returned to the kitchen.

An enjoyable night out.
Sing's Asian Kitchen is a nice venue with excellent food and competent service. We have found that the meals are reasonably priced and well presented, and the menus offer good descriptions of them.
The service has been quite good. Admittedly on the first few visits there were some problems, but that could be put down to the waiter's nerves or inexperience, and they did not make the visit unenjoyable. On the last number of visits the service has certainly picked up : ) Our water bottle was replaced as soon as it was emptied, that sort of thing.
The atmosphere is good too. Rosalie Village is a somewhat hip foodie venue so it is full of funky locals who enjoy a good meal. The interior of Sing's is modern and fresh, with A4 paper 'place mats' and simple cutlery. They do have music playing on the odd occasion, but it has been so busy the last couple of visits that it was drowned out by the other customers.
My partner and I enjoy eating eating at Sing's, and it now seems to be getting a name for itself, so if you are planning on eating there on a busy night (weekends, Fridays) I would probably advise making a booking!
Our favourite dishes so far have been (in the entrees) salt and pepper calamari, 'golden bags', handmade spring rolls and the fish cakes. In the mains, the Pad Thai, duck with basil, Mongolian lamb and the green and red curries.
