Very pleasant experience
My other half and myself attended the restaurant last night for dinner for the first time, and i must say that i was pleasantly suprised. Being skeptical regarding any predominantly 'seafood' restaurants i was relatively uneasy with the menu selections. The waiting staff however, explained the dishes in a concise and knowledgeable manner which allowed myself and my other half to make a well informed decision. They delivered this information in a friendly, and charming manner.

The service time was top notch, the level of service from the staff was far above average. They approached their job with a pleasant demeanour and helped assist the restaurant in attaining the excellence i believe was exhibited. The meals were well sized, well cooked and well presented and congratulations to the kitchen staff for keeping up with mother's day rush.

All in all it was a pleasant experience, one i will definitely recommend to others.

Lovely time
I recently went to Simon's with my wife on the spur of the moment. I hadn't been for years so I called at the last minute to confirm that we could have a table and we were told that there would be no problem. We had some trouble finding parking initially but that's just the case with Northbridge nowadays and when we arrived and told the waiter who greeted us at the door he explained there are a few spots generally free in the restaurant's laneway, so something to keep in mind.

The same gent passed us onto another waitress who seated us as others were entering. We were being seated at a table when my wife enquired whether we could sit at one of the round booths along the wall. The waitress explained that the last set one was booked but if we would take a seat at the bar she could clear a booth that had just been used and reset it for us which she did very promptly for us.

When we sat down the same waiter who greeted us asked whether we would like a drink while we looked at the menus. We just wanted to share a bottle of wine so he asked if we would like some reccomendations and we just went with his suggestion for a sav blanc. I didn't know of the wine so when he went to get it I checked the list and he had suggested a very reasonable priced wine in comparison to some others on the list and we were very happy with it when we tried it.

I went for the set menu which was less than forty bucks but my wife desperately wanted a prawn cocktail and then had the spaghetti marinara. I chose the chowder and had the steak of the day which was a decent sized t-bone. I was happy with both my dishes from the set. My wife when she looked saw that there was no prawn cocktail and when she queried when we had our order taken the waiter said not to worry they would make it for her and when it came it was presented beautifully and she was very happy with it. She also raved about the spaghetti marinara which I tried and we will be going back for that one alone I'm sure.

We were both full so we just shared my profiteroles which I chose for my dessert from the set which were very tasty. I also was entitled to a coffee and my wife had one also which were great and we normally go home for coffee but we were having such a nice time we stayed.

Overall we were very happy with the food and the service. We were in a booth next to a table of two couples who got loud towards the end of the evening but what can you do. A lovely time, and we will be going back.

Have to go a long way to find a worse dinner
I booked several days before valentines day and was not informed the service would be a set menu. This removed the option for shellfish or crayfish of any kind. However several other diners and I noticed this was not the case for all diners as oysters and crayfish were served to other tables. The food was fish and chip shop fare. Grilled Barramundi that was greasy and sloppy served with "fries" style chips. We all loathed our meal so much we left before the set dessert. For all that we payed $49.95 a head not including drinks.
