Many cafes advertise themselves as serving gourmet food, but have nothing that could be classed as gourmet beyond a decent panini. Simon's goes the extra mile with a menu of dishes that wouldn't look out of place on any restaurant menu in town. They also produce the traditional favourites such as caesar salads that cut no corners and match to the letter what one should expect from such a dish. The desserts are a highlight at Simon's, with his warm flourless chocolate cake deserving a standing ovation.
