Located right on the water, the Shearwater kitchen's seafood focus is almost a given. However, as well as offering simple renditions of the day's catch, they also shake things up a bit with a few Asian-influenced meals. There's a laidback atmosphere here and diners are welcome to just pop by for a coffee. But a bit of forward-planning is recommended if you want to snag a table on the deck.

Nice little Find
My wife found this little piece of paradise as we were passing through coffs on our way to the Gold Coast, for our honeymoon. We had our first breakfast as a married couple at this lovely restrauant, which was the prefect start for our life together. The staff were friendly from the moment we walked in the door to the moment we left. As we arrived the first thing we noticed was the outside deck which we settled onto nicely. The food was more the generious sized portions and tasted absoutley beautiful ( and i'm a big eater) plenty of range to choose from and the fresh squeezed juice topped of the morning. the view over looking the water was breath taking at that time of the morning and being able to see all the fish at the door step was an exciting addition to the day. After enjoying a most satisficing breakfast we ventured dowstairs where we were able to get up close and feed the fish.
