Providing a perfect excuse for a day trip to the Dandenongs, this gorgeous restaurant set in the pretty surrounds of the Cloudehill nursery is a must-see. The gardens that surround it are absolutely stunning, and worthy of a trip themselves, but the restaurant provides plenty of appeal whether gardening is your thing or not.
Many of the goodies grown in the nursery's kitchen garden are used in the seasonal menu, and you can see everything being prepared fresh and cooked in-house in the open kitchen. A stunning spot made even better with the inclusion of a comprehensive wine list put together by sommelier Ross Wilson, this is the kind of place you can sit back in with a bottle of wine and good company and enjoy the fresh air and country vibes - oh, and the amazing mod-Oz cuisine, too.
