Straight from the wood oven, the gourmet pizzas at Scoozi Caffe Bar are known for their wholesome flavours that evoke a traditional Italian pizzeria. But it's not only the neapolitans and margheritas that make an impact. A number of internationally influenced pizzas pop up on the menu, from tandoori chicken to Thai-style satay pizzas. If unsatisfied with the options on show, diners can also create their own pizzas using a maximum of five toppings, or sample the pastas, risottos, salads or baguettes while sipping a glass of vino, all of which can be enjoyed indoors or in the cafe's outdoor area.

Small fish in a big pond
As a visitor to Adelaide over Christmas, 2009,my partner and I decided to try out the Scoozi breakfast on New Year's Day. After discovering that breakfast finished at 11:30, we decided to line up and order, as it was still 11:20.
As the line was moving slowly, it was almost 11:30am when the bar staff informed the remaining customers in line, that breakfast was no longer to be served and that it would be a half hour wait until the lunch menu started.
There were about 5-6 other people waiting to place their orders. Unsurprisingly, all were upset at the arrogance and inflexibility of the bar staff. The people who had joined the line to order their breakfast had done so well before 11:30am. That they were summarily told that, after waiting there would be no service was mean-spirited and small-minded.
Needless to say, we took our business elsewhere.
The thing that frustrates me about this experience, is that I have been a loyal customer of Scoozi since the early 1990's. After moving interstate, I always try and go back for some of that good, old fashioned Italian food when I visit Adelaide.
Such lack of service at a time of year when it's already nigh impossible to find good cafes, open for business at Christmas/New Year is a good way to scare potential customers away, with no likelihood of coming back to an establishment where arrogance is the status quo.
