The warm, ochre-coloured walls in this little trattoria, adorned with candle-lit portraits of the Mediterranean, evoke all the sights and sounds of a Tuscan villa.
The mod-Med menu offers up a diverse selection pizzas and pastas, with a heavy accent on the fresh seafood that defines Mediterranean cuisine.
The dessert menu is similarly classic, with a liquor and espresso affogato providing the perfect way to finish your meal.

Geat Little Walk In
We had some friends over from england and where looking for somewhere to have a quick bite to eat and move on. Had been past many a time and never thought to stop by but one our friends suggested we eat here. I was unsure at first but would have to say it was really good. Service was great. Atmosphere was very cosy. And the Lamb Shank Pie hit the spot on a rainy night. For a nice intimate meal sometime, go you'll love it.

Terrific service, great food
Eaten at Scarpetta a number of times, and I always leave satisfied. The service does not follow what seems to be fairly standard at most places - take the table's order, bring the meals out, then leave the diners alone until they request the bill. Nothing wrong with that kind of service (sometimes I prefer to be left to my own devices during a meal), but the wait staff at Scarpetta are always attentive without being intrusive.
I've had a variety of pizzas, pastas and a grilled chicken dish here and the quality and presentation of the food is top notch. Highly recommended.

A nice surprise
If it weren't for a discount voucher, I probably wouldn't have discovered this little gem even though I had walked past it numerous times - "don't judge a book by it's cover" comes to mind! The service was top notch - super-friendly & efficient - and the food was great - particularly a Truffled Mushroom Tortolini which was divine. A great evening and I will certainly be back.

Brunswick Street Surprise!
You don't walk down Brunswick Street with the expectation of food at this level. Recently I was to meet a group of friends at a bar further down the street. My boyfriend and I walked past Scarpetta on the way and thought we would pop in for a quick meal. I'm so glad we did. I had pasta and he had pizza - both meals were amazing! The pizza was the best we had ever eaten! I can't wait until next time we are in the area and I can have another pizza! The wines and service also worth a mention - everything was fantastic!

Last night (Valentine's) I had the most wonderful evening at this restaurant. A young gentleman served my partner and I and whenever we had a silly question about the wine or the dessert he knew everything about it. The meal was cooked within 10 minutes and the dessert was out within 5. It was a wonderful evening and I will continue being a regular customer. The staff were polite and welcoming, the building was cute and the whole evening left me very happy. Kind regards, Melissa and Dwayne Rickard.
