Delights from the deep
Usually based in a land-locked city, I was looking forward to a seafood dinner in Adelaide where the produce had not required passage overland on a plane and a truck before reaching my dinner plate and Scampis did not disappoint. Although the service is somewhat "relaxed" evey dish that graced our table was faultess. The oysters were fat, fresh and delicious, the giant squid was a revelation (so tender!!)and the fish was fresh and tasty. The wine selection was impressive and although we didn't have room for dessert, we did see some lovely looking creations make their way to other tables. A great meal. I'll be back at Christmas!

Poor quality
We went to Scampi's as we heard it had a good reputation and it was the gold section of our Entertainment book. But we were extremely disappointed with the seafoood platter we had. The prawns were bland, the soft shelled crab was oily, there were way too many cold and soggy chips and in general the seafood was of poor quality. We were very surprised and disappointed.
Lastly, the tower for the seafood platter was placed in front of us half and hour before our food arrived, so we had this obstruction between us for the duration of the evening.

Thank You!
Thank you to all for a great evening last night "Valentines Day" . This was our first experience at Scampis and I must say that the staff were extremely dedicated and genuinely interested in giving great service. The Seafood Platter was exceptional and the atmosphere was just great! Just what we had hoped for a romantic evening of fine food and wine! We will definitely be back sometime soon.
