Here's a joint for all Brisbane's salty sailors; you know, the type that like fresh fish with boutique ales. Okay, well maybe this place is a little posher than your local port pub. In fact, it's a delicious ode to everything fish and beer, with freshly shucked oysters, crisp fish and chips, and beers such as Little Creatures featuring prominently.

Not Happy
For a week day, the service was really bad, only one waitress was on the floor, we didn't get a drinks menu and the waitress wanted us to order our mains while we were eating the Entree. It was noisy from the banging and clanging of the kitchen and we could not hear any music, only other customers talking loudly. We ordered steak which was chewy and I left mine on the plate - was a bad cut of rib fillet, was fatty, dry and full of gristle. I still paid for it and the waitress made no effort to fix the problem but only to tell the chefs my complaint. It cost $80 for both meals. I could have cooked a better meal at home and I'm no chef. I registered to this site just so I could make this review as I was really annoyed!!!

Great service but lacks atmosphere
We travelled to Bulimba to try this new restaurant based on the review in the Courier Mail. We ordered the garlic & rosemary pizza bread as starter and then the "fish & chips" for main. The garlic bread was very disappointing with texture the consistency of cardboard, the fish was excellent batter very crunchy & fish moist and tender. Chips were oily and overcooked. Dessert was great although a little pricey. Water was offered throughout the meal but was warm. The restaurant lacks atmosphere and not a restaurant I would pick for an intimate dinner but service was excellent, best we have experienced for a very long time. We will return to try some of the other menu options but won't rush back
