For the ultimate bacon 'n' egg brekkie sanger, or a healthy and hearty lunch, Sassy's on the Swan is the place to go. Generous servings and a relaxed vibe mean the customers just keep coming back. The intimate space is sometimes a little squashy, but that all adds to the cafe's fun and lively atmosphere.

Sassy's
As a daily and very satisfied customer at Sassys I feel compelled to respond, and hopefully clarify.
It seems that the complainants are talking aobut a different beast.
Sassy's is not licensed to serve alcohol. Sassys is a simple but pleasant brekky/lunch/drop in type of place, not a place where you book for a function. It shuts around 3pm but, rather than shooing customers away, it will extend beyond if there are partons still eating or arriving.
A suggestion - Sassys is physically attached to the WA Rowing Club. I hope I am not badmouthing another innocent party, but perhaps it was the upstairs function room in the WA Rowing Club, or somewhere else in the area. But it certainly doesn't match up with the business that is done at Sassys.
In view of the strength of the serve that the complainants have made about a great little coffee place, I urge them to clarify/apologise/whatever. If not it says a lot about them and nothing about Sassys that we all love to visit.

Hats off
Hey, am very surprised to hear of the bad function, I have been going to Sassy's on the Swan for years now, I have never had anything other than excellent service from the incredibly friendly (yet not nauseatingly so) staff. I agree fully with the comment below "....I believe it's bad grapes not bad food ....bad manners not bad service....."
Sassy's is on a beautiful spot on the river, perfect on a sunny day or to be cosy away from the rain, have seen some awesome lightening storms from there too. I would highly recommend this place to anyone, locals and tourists alike.

Morning on the Swan
I love going to cafes and restaurants for breakie most mornings. A friend introduced me to Sassy's on Swan about a year ago..... I have read the previous reviews and can't believe that those people are talking about the same restaurant that I find to have the friendliest staff and the best salmon and eggs in the city. Maybe they should consider why they had their function their in the beginning....I think they have the same view as I ..... I have had some disasters in the best restaurants in the world but never being compelled to go to all the trouble to write a review in the negative.....I believe it's bad grapes not bad food ....bad manners not bad service..... bad attitude not bad atmosphere. I'll see all the lovely people that frequent Sassy's soon.

Great Place to Take Visitors
Being originally from the Eastern states I have a lot of visitors and family to stay with me. I find a trip to Sassy's, breakfast or lunch, is always the highlight of the day. The food is sensational and always fresh, the menu is huge so there is always something to suit every taste and the location and atmosphere are fantastic. Congratulations to the staff for making my visits so enjoyable and giving my visitors such a great introduction to Perth dining.

Highly recommended
I have been a regular at Sassy's on the Swan for about 7 months now, I've got to know the great staff here over this time. Over this time I would say I've just about had everything on the menu. Fantastic, well done to everyone at Sassy's on the Swan keep up the great work (highly recommended).

Staff ruined a long awaited family occasion
Staff decided to pack up around us and clear tables during the middle of our evening. It was not yet even 10pm when they started removing full glasses of champagne and wine and noisily taking chairs. We had a private function booked for the evening with dinner to be served at 8pm. Dinner was served late at 8.30 then it took well over 20mins for everyone to receive their meals, some of which were only lukewarm on arrival. At 9.45 staff became extremely obtrusive and started taking full wine glasses and moving chairs around the tables. At 9.55 the manageress announced that we needed to leave within 5mins. This was a private function where we had paid extra to have a late evening, instead the restaurant did not even serve the cake, even when reminded that we had paid and requested a late evening. I have never ever heard of such disgusting service. This establishment ruined a much awaited occasion. Guests went home without cake, there was time for no toasts or well wishes and we were practically herded out the door with the gates locked behind us. Stay away from this restaurant.

Had potential....
I was looking forwards to lunch with some friends on such a beautiful Perth day. Especially at a cafe with some vegetarian meals - one of my friends is a strict vegan (also a trained chef) and it can be hard to find a venue that serves vegan foods. The location of this cafe is lovely but it heads down hill from there. Here is a quick summary of our experience: 45 min wait for our meals & the cafe had only 2 other tables with diners at them; vegan meal came out with omelette through it; charged us for a calamari salad which we had not recieved.
