Like the classic Japanese sword-wielding warriors this restaurant is named after, Samurai Japanese Cafe is a cut above the rest. This peaceful evening eatery sits comfortably in the heart of Balmain, establishing a calm and traditional sanctuary from the main strip with its luminescent hanging lanterns, and delicate parasols and artworks on the walls. The foods are authentically Japanese creations, including sushi, sashimi, udon, ramen, teriyaki, and that much-loved savoury pancake favourite, okonomiyaki. It's food fit for a samurai indeed.
