Sammy's delivers succulently fresh seafood in stylish and appropriately aquatic surrounds, with views of the beach and Holdfast Marina. With such a bright and breezy location, this restaurant is ideal for a post-beach pick-me-up. There's even the romantic possibility of a dolphin sighting to add to the idyllic picture. As seaside appetites demand, the menu is dominated by market-fresh seafood, with a popular dish being the snapper fillet served on garlic mash and braised spinach, topped with lemon butter sauce.

Surely you'll never seafood better
Sammy's on the Marina is with out a doubt the best located restaurant on the beach in Adelaide, offering spectacular views, Dolphins in the water, amazing sunsets, Ideal for a romantic evening or any special occasion. Also caters for large groups. We chose from an extensive menu, their signature sea food platter.consisting of nine delectable fresh varieties of sea food, When it was served, it looked amazing, and tasted even better. Sammys on the Marina, is recognized as Adelaide's finest Seafood Restaurant.and we would not disagree. The restaurant is circular on two levels, both offering spectacular views, the decor is elegantly seaside themed. The dessert menu offered a variety of popular favorites, plus a chefs special, which completed a thoroughly satisfying culinary experience. A good range of wines ensure a perfect accompaniment to you choice of meal. The coffee was excellent and so was the service. Reservations recommended.

Dissapointed :(
When my boyfriend said he was taking me to Sammy's on the Marina, I was over the moon! I couldn't wait to enjoy some good quality seafood.. unfortunately I was bitterly disappointed. The menu is definitely overpriced. I honestly don't mind paying a decent amount so long as the food is also decent. The selection of seafood was poor, and there was nothing I wouldn't see on the menu of most other restaurants. The chips were soggy, and obviously came frozen out of a bag. It's what you see when you order chips from your local chicken shop... The calamari was also average. At the end of the day, it was overpriced fish and chips... And I expect I would have got a better quality meal at a nice pub. The atmosphere and service were nice!...but the food was a massive let down.

Surly Sammy's Manager
Fish was somewhat overcooked but what really took our breath away was the surly 'manager'. The attitude from this supposed 'professional' was deplorable. No smiling at all despite our best efforts to get him to crack the slightest smile. Snippy surly attitudes maybe something you get used to in Sydney but Adelaide is small and this kind of attitude will not be tolerated for long. On top of all that the food is overpriced and does not live up to expectation. The 'manager' should be setting a good example to his staff - this was clearly not evident when we dined there. Insencerity and sour attitudes are a thing of the past.

Anniversary Dinner
My bf took me to Sammy's for our anniversary dinner n ended up spending more than half his weekely wage! i felt pretty special cos he knows i LOVE seafood and so he kept it a suprise for weeks :) Anyway the food was the best ive ever had...everything was cooked to perfection and tasted like heaven! The atmosphere was great with the sea breeze being lovely to eat around. The service was let down tho by a waiter who made mistakes and being left to wait for ages before being asked if we would like to order and also when our drinks were empty we would wait for ages! Overall a great experiece tho...and the platters were huge. xx

Service
Having been to Sammy's twice I found the food fantastic. Thats why we went back a second time. But unfortunately we had to wait 20mins before getting a glass of water or order our wine. The second time was the same and after letting our waiter know we then had good service. We do want to go back because we love the food.
