With coffee from Grinders and dishes on offer like garlic prawns on potato and crab cakes, Samarco 2 is streets ahead of your average suburban cafe. The warm quail salad and Tuscan ricotta ravioli are recommended.

Great find in the western suburbs
This restaurant, which is tucked away in an an unlikely place, is fantastic. The service is cheerful and helpful. The food is always of such a high standard, it is hard to know how they keep it up. The atmosphere is relaxed and chatty and the sort of place you may find in Italy where all sorts of people gather to have a friendly relaxed meal together. My favourite main course is probably the garlic prawns on potato crab cake, but I also love the spaghetti marinara, and the aged prime rib (which is huge), the prawn caesar salad is good too. It is all good.
