Gourmet Traveller Feature Review - "Just in time for summer comes the Mediterranean-inspired Salon Blanc, where the only thing hotter than its siren-song drinks list is the brilliantly inspired Iain Halliday fit out."

Don't bother going for breakfast
We've been wanting to try this place for a while as the menu looks interesting. I'm not sure if the dinner menu is better - but breakfast was terrible. Really bland food, pretty expensive, and VERY average service (we had to ask twice after 15 mins for someone to take our order, and they we're even very busy.) It's a shame they can't get it right, as it's a nice atmosphere down there - perhaps they should stick to serving dinner!

Great newey on the wharf..
Fabulous food, great wine list and recommendations. On our particular visit the waiter was fantastic...friendly, not in your face but "human" and conversational. Hard to find in this calibre of an establishment. Brave decor, but it works.
