This new addition to Main Beach's crowded Tedder Avenue dining set is a welcome change from the usual fish 'n' chipperies and beach-bum cafes. Sakura takes both its name and food ethos from the iconic Japanese cherry blossom. The food philosophy here is one of fresh, quality ingredients and seasonality, a theme which mimics the fleeting blooms of the sakura flower.
With this in mind, don't expect cheap, prepackaged takeaway sushi here. Everything is made to order, and sublimely fresh, clean-flavoured sushi is the result. Sakura is definitely one for the discerning seafood disciple.

Best ever
The best japanese cuisine in Main beach, even on the Gold Coast. Must try tempura and sushi, they are super tasty!
