Brisbane-born, Japanese-trained "sushi master" Shaun Presland has brought his hugely successful Sake brand to his home town, where the sushi, sashimi and mains are going down a treat.
Mains include the miso butterfish, popcorn shrimp and classic beef teriyaki that have made the Sydney original such a favourite, and, of course, there's the sake in the moniker to help wash it all down. With about 50 varieties available, plus the extensive cocktail list, you're sure to be well into the Japanese swing of things - and well lubricated - by the time it comes to the food.
The bar is also debuting the new otsumami menu ("snacks to go with alcohol") before it lands in Sydney, and head chef Shinichi Maeda has made sure to give it a distinctly Queensland slant, too, with plenty of local ingredients.
