Hidden treasure
I dine out a couple of times a week and have sampled all of Canberra's best restaurants. At Sage, I've had some of the best meals ever during the year.
Three things really stand out for me. First, the service - the staff are well-trained, are committed professionals and very hospitable.
The interior space (the outside is nothing special, alas, being part of the Gorman House setup) is cosy, especially at night, and is a nice size - the place can never get too busy. The tables are well spaced out, and it’s quite the comfort zone.
Finally, the cuisine is first-class and great value for money. Seasonal menus, very fresh ingredients and a deft touch in execution result in food that is delicious, thoughtful and makes your world a better place from the first mouthful.
Highly recommended.
