Simple, contemporary Oz cuisine takes the forefront at this popular Gold Coast eatery, which boasts the 2007 and 2009 award for Best Cafe Restaurant by the Restaurant and Caterers Association Queensland, and the 2005, 2006 and 2007 awards for Best Licensed Restaurant in the People's Choice Awards. It's the combination of the beachside vibe, the customer service and the focus on fresh seafood and high-quality steaks that brings tourists and locals back to Sage for brekkie, lunch, dinner and an evening drink. From the dinner menu, the varied selection of entrees offer much to be savoured, such as the mezze plate with toasted Turkish bread and dips, or the devilishly-appealing Absolut vodka oyster shots. The mains keep up the standard with pastas (spaghettini marinara or chicken Riviera fettucine), salads (Thai beef salad or lemon chilli prawn and snow pea salad), meats (Byron Bay barbecue or pork Wagyu rump), seafood (Corona beer-battered barramundi or Atlantic salmon) and much more.

Great for Bucks Party
Had my bucks party at Sage Restaurant in Broady, best place to get a good steak and beers at a reasonable price. Clean, friendly atmosphere and didn't mind that me and my mates got a little loud.

Sage and starlights
Great alfresco dining. Staff very attentive initially but it did wane as we got closer to leaving. We thought prices were a little high (240 for 5) with really only mains, however food was pretty spectacular. Ask for the discounts (we eventually got 25% off bill). Enjoyable
